    Industrial Design

Industrial design is a process of design applied to products that are to be manufactured through techniques of mass production. Its key characteristic is that design is separated from manufacture: the creative act of determining and defining a product's form and features takes place in advance of the physical act of making a product, which consists purely of repeated, often automated, replication.

Some of the key elements of design considered for Industrial design are ease of manufacturability, ease of assembly, maintenance, and production/cost/time constraints. Industrial design brings Art, functionality and Engineering to the table and focus on creating a product which is desirable, manufacturable, excellent user experience, cost effective and functional.

    Enclosure Design

The key difference of enclosure design and industrial design is that industrial design infuses art in engineering and focuses a lot on looks and desirability, whereas Enclosure design is a straight forward process of designing plastic parts to enclose the design with only criterion of consideration being functionality and usability.

Usually enclosure design can be completed in a fraction of time as compared to an enclosure that is under going industrial design. The cost of manufacturing and tool etc are also in most cases lower than the industrial design.

    Mechanism design
